Jordan Anderson is a professional wood sculptor who grew up in Minnesota on Lake Pokegama where he quickly appreciate the wonders of nature by fishing, hunting and camping in the Northland. He would reflect on his experiences on the field by sketching wildlife such as deer, bear, eagle, fish, wolf and others.
He learned the art of handling chainsaw by building log homes with his Dad even though as at then, he did not share the same enthusiasm with him. However, a guy he met who carved a bear with chainsaw inspired him.
His first wood carving was a 14ff long and 3ft thick Orca which happened to be his largest wood carving to date. In his word “I have carved many unique pieces for people over the years to fit their needs”.
Jordan Anderson has done everything from bears holding custom signs, elaborate benches, to interior wall carvings. From exterior landmark sculptures to community art projects, dog portraits, sealife carvings, and sports mascots, Jordan has done it all.
Some other amazing sculpture he has done over the years can be found on his personal website www.jordancarving.com. Also on facebook
