Welcome once again to CorelDRAW Class 2. I hope the first class set you on a journey to the ever exciting software called CorelDRAW. Today we are going to be sharing with you how to open a page and how to adjust its properties.
How to Open a New Page Document and change its properties
No long story, simply CTRL +N. What you will get is seen below. Note that in CorelDRAW X5 and X6, whenever you press this command, an open dialog box appears where you can choose your paper size and even set the orientation at a go. But do not be afraid, it is still the same process.
Click on the Paper Size drop down menu and click the size of paper you want as seen below:
But in a situation where you want a specified size, you can do that through the Paper Width and Height column as shown below:
The orientation of the paper can also be changed from Portrait to Landscape depending on what you want to work with. Just click on the icon for Landscape or Portrait as seen below:
The Unit of Measurement can also be changed depending on what you are comfortable with. Just click on it and select your preferred unit from the list.
You can also use the Nudget Offset which is the measurement of unit traveled by an object when moved by the arrow key. We will discuss this further in another class. Also the duplicate distance is the measurement unit where duplicate is placed when CTRL+D is pressed on an object. We shall discuss this in the next class.
This is where we will be drawing the curtain today. Join us on Thursday 28th November for more tutorial.
Please always drop your comment and observation on this page.
