Photoshop Quickies #11 – How to create an ‘Ice Cold’ Text Effect in Photoshop

Today’s Quickie is centered on how to create an ice cold text effect in Adobe Photoshop. It is something that can be done with a left hand, so no sweat at all.

Step 1:

Open a New Page on a New Layer and apply the gradient below:






Step 2:

Get hold of the text tool, type the word SNOW and apply the Futura Font.



Step 3:

Apply Bevel and Emboss as shown below:



Step 4:

Also apply inner shadow as shown below:




Step 5:

You can then apply Drop Shadow as shown below:



And finally, this is what you get
